A Parent's Point of ViewSummer camps are an American institution that every child should experience while growing up. UniCamp offers a traditional summer camper experience that:
Your child will be asked to take leadership roles within their unit and within the camp. Activities like teambuilding games and talent shows give campers the chance to step out of their comfort zone and develop self esteem. Our counselors will offer a positive support system as campers take risks, set goals and try new activities and challenges.
Camp allows kids a chance to be away from family and parents in a safe controlled environment. Campers make their own beds, choose activities, and decide what they want to do during free time. Campers are encouraged to think for themselves and make their own decisions. Camp counselors are always around to offer encouragement and guide campers in making the best possible choices.
Camp offers a place where kids don’t have to worry about impressing their friends or being cool. Camp is a place with no social pressure, only encouragement and positive reinforcement. Campers are encouraged to express themselves and speak their minds. Campers are encouraged to strengthen the unique qualities that make them the unique individuals that they are.
There is no other environment where children can make so many new friends in such a short period of time. Making friends is the easiest thing to do at camp. Your child is surrounded by other kids of the same age and all of them are looking to make new friends. A week at camp can lead to lifetime friendships.
Camp is a chance for your child to do things they wouldn’t get to do in the city. Our campers get a chance to experience nature and fish alongside a river, see stars at night, listen to birds chirping in the morning. In addition to that our camp offers activities like archery, rock climbing, drama and many more fun new experiences that your child will be introduced to.
The number one goal for camp is to provide children with a week of fun. Everything that happens at camp is meant to entertain the campers. Fun is singing songs, playing games and being silly with new found friends. Your kids will come back from camp talking about all the new experiences they had but more importantly you’ll hear about all the fun they had! Camp sounds great, but why UniCamp over another camp? |
