Community
Service Record

The Community Service Record (CSR) is a pilot program begun in 2009 by the USAC Community Service Commission. UCLA UniCamp is one of only a dozen organizations that has been invited to participate in the trial run.

The CSR will allow UniCamp’s volunteers to log most of their community service hours from weekly meetings, retreats, Camp-a-Thon, and on-site orientation, as well as from their actual week at camp. Since each of UniCamp’s nearly 500 student volunteers must go through at least 100 hours of training during Spring Quarter, UniCamp volunteers together donate almost 50,000 hours of their time, not including the actual week of camp.

This program will allow UniCamp volunteers to have a written, authorized record of their community service hours in a format similar to UCLA’s official degree progress report (DPR). Volunteers can use the CSR at job interviews, as part of resumes, and a number of other situations.

Anyone who has been a UCLA student and has access to MyUCLA is eligible to get CSR hours. Volunteers only need to log on to MyUCLA, go to the left hand toolbar and click on “Community Service” under the “Extra Curricular” tab. Select the event that you would like credit for, and then submit the request. It’s that simple!
