Camp Activities

Classic UniCamp is an 8 day, 7 night residential camping experience. Campers sleep in open air cabins that come fully equipped with showers and B.I.F.F.Y. (Bathroom in the Forest for You)’s. At the core of UniCamp’s classic camp experience you will find all the traditional activities of a normal summer camp. We sing songs, play games and have daily rotations such as: swimming, archery, hiking, arts & crafts, mountain biking, nature, rec. games, stargazing, campfires and many more.

Additionally, the UCLA student leaders also plan special all-camp programs such as initiative games, science nights, talent shows, drama, diversity activities, etc that are all a mixture of entertainment, education and teambuilding. We also hold activities that strive to promote the value of education, build self confidence and self reliance in our campers, and help them become successful in life - all in an outdoor environment.

Participants help build a sense of community by interacting with other cabin groups and performing various skills learned throughout the week. Cabin groups generally consist of 2 counselors and 10 campers with several other activity counselors present for each group. These groups also perform simple chores around camp to keep our wilderness beautiful.
